A Toronto native, Chantel's transition into Massage Therapy came from a strong commitment to resolving her own chronic pain and sharing her knowledge with others. After her undergraduate studies at the university of Toronto, Chantel lived abroad both in Europe and Asia for a collective five years. These experiences taught her about the many benefits of traditional medicine and a strong home care regimen in alternative therapies. She trained in yoga at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health (2002), in addition to receiving Moksha Yoga 500 hour certification (2007), with additional certification and training in prenatal, kids, yin, and yoga therapy.
Chantel's decision to return to Canada and study massage therapy came after receiving her CAPT (Certified Advanced Practitioner and Teacher) from ITM in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Upon returning to Canada, she graduated at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She is also a member of the RMTAO (Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario), a certified teacher of ITM Thai Yoga Massage directly from Thailand, and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
